How to edit designs in Grafista

 

Most AI design tools generate flat raster images. We believe that every graphic design platform that respects itself should allow full manual editing. You should be able to move, edit or delete any element inside your design fast. Why pay money or tokens to remove a letter from your title? Why wait a minute for a model to delete an element when you can just select it and press the backspace key?

Grafista generates fully editable designs so you maintain full control. You can edit text, delete decorations, change colors or move an element a little to the left so it feels… just right.

Of course, you can still use our editing Agent for bigger changes that can take some time to do manually. Sometimes you may need ideas for a new color palette or a different layout entirely.

 

Move around the canvas

• Pan: hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and drag.
• Zoom: hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and scroll, or use the + and − buttons in the bottom right corner.
• See the whole design: click Fit to screen next to the + button.

 

Select, move and resize elements

• Click an element to select it, then drag it to move it.
• Drag a corner or side of an element to resize it.
• To select several elements, hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and click each one, or click an empty part of the canvas and drag a box around them. Drag any selected element to move the whole group.

 

Edit text

Double-click a text box to change what it says.

Selecting a text box opens a toolbar above which allows you to change the font family, font size and color, and apply bold, italic or underline.

 

Change shape and line colors

Selecting a shape or line opens a toolbar above it where you can change its color and adjust the transparency.

 

Copy, duplicate and delete

Right-click any element to copy, duplicate or delete it. You can also use the shortcuts: Ctrl + C to copy, Ctrl + V to paste, Ctrl + D to duplicate and Backspace to delete.

 

Undo and redo

Use the Undo and Redo buttons in the left toolbar to reverse a change or bring it back.

 

Edit with the AI Agent

Click the purple Agent button in the top right and describe the change you want: add, remove or change anything in the design. You can also upload images, such as your logo or a product photo.

The Agent follows specific instructions better than vague ones:

• Instead of "make it look better", write "change the background to dark navy and make the headline white".
• Instead of "fix the logo", write "replace the logo in the top left with the image I uploaded and make it half the size".
• Instead of "try other colors", write "use a purple and white palette and keep the body text black".

Download and publish your design

Download

Click Download in the top right corner and pick a format:

• PNG for social media, websites and messaging apps.
• PDF for printing and for sending files to a print shop. Most printers ask for PDF.
• Canva to keep working on the design in Canva.

Publish as a web page

Click Publish in the top right corner to share your design online. You get three things:

• A link you can share anywhere, like your Instagram bio or an email.
• A QR code you can print on flyers, menus, posters or packaging.
• An embed code to show the design on your own website.

The link, QR code and embed code stay the same forever. When you edit your design, press Republish and everyone who opens the link, scans the code or visits your site sees the new version. Until you republish, they keep seeing the previous one.
