Best AI ad generators for static ads
October 4, 2026Grafista Team
TL;DR
For static ads, the right AI ad generator depends on how much text your ad carries and how often you need to change it. Grafista is the best fit for editable, text-heavy static ads such as offers, menus, event flyers and complex social ads, because every element stays editable and Blueprints set the layout. AdCreative AI is the strongest option for performance teams that want creative scoring. AdGen AI suits e-commerce brands testing many simple product variations. Arcads, Creatify, Zeely and Holo are better known for video or all-in-one marketing, and static ads are a secondary output for them.
How we judged static ad output
We reviewed each tool's product pages, docs and pricing pages in October 2026. Since this list is about static ads, we compared each tool on five things that decide whether a generated image is usable in a real campaign:
- Editability: can you change one word, swap the photo or move the logo without regenerating the whole ad?
- Text capacity: can the layout hold a headline, body copy, a price list or a bulleted offer, or only a headline and a button?
- Brand control: fonts, colors and logo applied consistently across a batch.
- Originality: does the output look like your brand, or like the same template every other advertiser is running?
- Export: formats and sizes you can take straight to Meta, Google, LinkedIn or print.
Video features are mentioned where a tool has them, but they did not count toward the ranking.
1. Grafista: best for editable, text-heavy static ads
Grafista is a content-first design platform. You start with your text, images and brand kit, pick a size, and Grafista builds the full design around that content: spacing, hierarchy, shapes and decorations. Every element in the result is a separate object on a canvas editor. You can retype a headline, swap a product photo, move the logo by hand, or ask the built-in Agent for bigger changes.
The main difference from template-based tools is Blueprints. A Blueprint is not a template you edit. It is a reference design that Grafista rebuilds from scratch using your content. This is also how Grafista avoids the generic look of AI ads: the structure comes from a design you chose, not from the model's default habits.
Pros
- Fully editable output: text, images, shapes and decorations stay separate layers, so fixing a typo or a price takes seconds, not a regeneration.
- Handles long-form content: brochures, menus, event schedules, multi-benefit ads and infographic-style posts, in any language.
- Blueprints give a consistent, intentional look across a campaign and reduce AI slop.
- Brand kit applies your fonts, colors and logo to every design.
- Built-in AI copy generation, document import and proofreading.
- Exports to PDF and PNG and can publish a design online with a permanent link, QR code and embed code.
- Team workspaces for agencies.
Cons
- No video, UGC or AI avatar ads. If your channel mix is video-first, you need a second tool.
- No creative performance scoring or competitor ad research.
Pricing
Get 300 free credits upon sign up. Pricing plans start at €10 per month for 1000 credits and include unlimited users, brand kits and design downloads. Features like AI document import, AI text generation and publishing designs online cost different amount of credits.
2. AdCreative AI: best for performance teams that want scoring and analytics
AdCreative.ai is the most established tool on this list. It claims over 4 million users and more than 1 billion generated creatives. You import your brand (logo, colors, fonts), pick a format, enter a short headline and call to action, and it generates a batch of banner ads in every size you need. Around that core it has added product photoshoots, AI stock images, ad copy, UGC-style and product videos, and analytics tools.
Its strongest feature for static ads is Creative Scoring AI, which predicts how a creative will perform before you spend on it. AdCreative says the model is trained on more than $35B in ad spend data and claims over 90% prediction accuracy. That figure is the vendor's own and we have not seen it independently verified.
Pros
- Generates every standard ad size for Meta, Google, LinkedIn and others from one input.
- Creative scoring, competitor ad insights and a compliance checker in the same platform.
- Connects to Meta and Google ad accounts to tailor output to your past performance.
- Unlimited generations: you only spend credits when you download.
- Unlimited iStock photos included.
- Video ads available if you need them later.
Cons
- The generator takes a short headline and call to action, so layouts are built for short copy. Ads with a price list, several benefits or event details do not fit well.
- Outputs from popular templates look alike across advertisers, which is a problem on feeds where users have seen the same layout many times.
- Credits run out fast: the Starter plan includes 10 downloads per month.
- Creative scoring, video and several AI tools are reserved for the Professional plan and above.
- At least one third-party pricing review cites users saying only about 30% of generated variations are usable.
Pricing
Starter costs $39 per month billed monthly, or $20 per month billed yearly, for 10 download credits and 1 brand. Professional is $249 per month ($125 billed yearly) for 50 credits, and Ultimate is $999 per month for 100 credits and 25 brands. There is a 7-day free trial with 10 credits and no permanent free plan.
3. Arcads: best for UGC-style video, weak for static ads
Arcads is a video-first platform. Its core product is a library of more than 1,000 AI actors who read your script on camera, so you get UGC-style talking-head ads without hiring creators. It also bundles third-party models such as Kling, Sora, Veo and Seedance for video, and Nano Banana, Seedream and GPT Image for still images.
For static ads, Arcads is a front end to general image models. You describe the ad in a prompt and get a flattened image back. Any text in that image is pixels, so changing a price or fixing a misspelled word means regenerating or editing the image elsewhere.
Pros
- Large, realistic AI actor library with emotion control and custom actor cloning on the top plan.
- Translation and localization into 30+ languages for video.
- Access to several leading image and video models under one subscription.
- API and MCP connections for teams automating production.
Cons
- Static image ads are a side feature, not the product.
- Image output is flat: no layers, no editable text, no brand-kit layout control.
- Image models have improved at rendering text, but long copy is still generated as part of the picture, so every wording change means a new generation.
- Pricing is not shown on the public site and the credit system is hard to predict.
- The homepage advertises a free trial, but plan limits are only visible after signing up.
Pricing
3-day free trial with 1000 credits. Then Starter is at €100 per month with a 30% discount the first month.
4. Zeely: best for small sellers who want creation and Meta launching in one app
Zeely covers the whole paid social loop: it generates static and video ads, launches campaigns on Meta, tracks creative performance and shows competitor ads from a library of 10,000+ brands. It is a Meta Business Partner and also has iOS and Android apps, which suits store owners who manage ads from a phone.
Static ads come from two routes: edit-ready templates and batch generation through image models such as Nano Banana and GPT Image. The "ad clone" feature recreates a reference ad, including a competitor's, for your product.
Pros
- Creation, campaign launch, analytics and competitor research in one subscription.
- Batch static ads and ad cloning for fast variation testing.
- Connects to your online store to pull in products.
- Mobile apps for managing campaigns on the go.
- One plan includes 30+ AI models, among them Kling, Seedance, Veo and Nano Banana.
Cons
- Ads generated with image models have the text inside the picture, so copy changes on those mean regenerating.
- Ad cloning pushes every advertiser toward the same proven layouts, which is the opposite of standing out.
- Running ads through Zeely costs extra: Zeely states it may charge up to 12% on top of ad spend.
- Plans and prices differ between the website and the mobile app, according to Zeely's own FAQ.
Pricing
Starter is $29.95 per month for 2,500 credits, Plus is $49.95 for 5,000 credits and Growth is $79.95 for 10,000 credits. These were discounted website prices in October 2026; list prices are $49.95, $89.95 and $149.95. Ad spend and Zeely's campaign fee are separate.
5. Creatify: best for e-commerce video ads from a product URL
Creatify turns a product page URL into video ads with AI actors and voiceover. It has grown into a full ad platform: AdFlow templates, an Ad Clone tool that remakes an ad from a URL, a competitor tracker covering 10M+ Meta ads, and an ad launcher and Performance Agent for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin.
Image ads are part of the package. Its free plan counts output as "2 video ads or 20 image ads", and the Model Playground gives access to 50 to 100+ image and video models. Its static ads come from AdFlow templates and the image models in that playground.
Pros
- Fastest route from a product URL to a batch of video ad variations.
- Free plan to test before paying, with 10 credits per month.
- Competitor ad tracking and campaign launching on the Pro plan.
- 75+ languages for voiceover and localization.
- Integrations with Claude and ChatGPT through MCP on Pro.
Cons
- The product is designed around video. Image ads are a secondary output.
- We found no description of a layer-based editor for image ads on Creatify's public pages.
- Templates and Ad Clone encourage the same formats competitors are already running.
- Free exports carry a watermark, and Starter allows only 1 generation at a time.
Pricing
Starter costs $39 per month for 100 credits, and Pro starts at $99 per month for 300 credits, scaling up to 5,000. Annual billing saves up to 50%.
6. Holo: best budget option for founders who want marketing on autopilot
Holo is less an ad generator and more an AI marketing assistant. You paste your website, it builds a "Brand DNA" profile from it, and then it drafts ads, social posts, emails and SEO blog posts on a content calendar. You approve or regenerate each piece. Static and video ad creatives are one output among several.
Pros
- Low entry price: $20 per month, less on six-month billing.
- Covers ads, organic social, email and blog content from one brand profile.
- Calendar and autopilot mode reduce the weekly time spent on marketing.
- Publishes to Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest, and connects to Shopify and WordPress.
- 99+ languages.
Cons
- Breadth over depth: static ads get less design control than in a dedicated design tool.
- Holo describes feedback in plain language ("less corporate, more playful") that updates future drafts. We found no detail on element-level editing of static ads.
- Autopilot and analytics are only on the Scale plan.
- No free plan and no free trial, though unused credits are refundable within 7 days.
- Prices are promotion-driven and change often.
Pricing
Starter is $48 per month billed monthly or $20 for a 6-month plan and includes 125 creations. Scale is at $98 and $48 per month for 325 creations. No free trial available.
7. AdGen AI: best for generating and publishing variations from a URL
AdGen AI is made by Adriel, a marketing analytics company. You enter a website URL, and it extracts your brand tone and product, writes ad copy, and generates image ad variations sized for Meta, Google Display, LinkedIn and TikTok. You can then publish to those ad accounts without leaving the app. Unlike most tools here, it does not advertise video or AI avatars.
AdGen's FAQ describes the process as placing the product front and center and varying the background, font style and format. That is useful for A/B testing small differences, less so for producing a distinctive layout.
Pros
- Focused on static image ads and copy, with no video upsell.
- One-click publishing to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- High variation counts per credit for A/B testing.
- Free credits with no expiry and no card required.
Cons
- If variations mostly change background and font, as the FAQ describes, a batch can look like one template repeated.
- Copy generation supports 6 languages (English, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Chinese).
- Credits do not roll over and purchased plans are non-refundable.
- The public pricing page still shows launch-period beta offers and a 2023 copyright, so check current terms in the app before buying.
Pricing
New accounts get 5 free credits. The pricing page lists Starter at $19 per month (10 credits), Pro at $79 (50 credits) and Team at $199 (150 credits). One credit covers 5+ ad copies and 60 image variations for one product.
Which AI ad generator should you pick?
Pick by the job, not the feature list. Most of these tools solve a different problem.
- You run text-heavy static ads, or need to fix copy without regenerating: Grafista. Editable layers and Blueprints matter most when an ad has a price list, several benefits, a schedule or legal text.
- You want to predict which static ad will win before spending: AdCreative on the Professional plan or above.
- You need many simple product variations for testing: AdGen AI for URL-based variations with one-click publishing.
- Your ads are mostly UGC-style video: Arcads for actor realism, Creatify for product-URL-to-video speed.
- You want one app to create and launch Meta ads from your phone: Zeely, budgeting for its campaign fee.
- You are a solo founder who wants ads, posts and emails handled together: Holo.
Many teams pair a video tool with a static design tool. If you already use Arcads or Creatify for video, Grafista covers the static side, including the long-form ads those tools are not built for.
FAQ
What is the difference between a static ad generator and an AI image generator?
An image generator such as GPT Image or Nano Banana returns a single flattened picture, with any text drawn into the pixels. A static ad generator builds a layout from your copy, brand kit and images. The best ones keep each element editable, so you can change a headline or price without starting over.
Why do AI-generated ads look the same?
Most tools reuse a small set of templates or copy layouts from ads that are already running, and general image models fall back to similar compositions. When many advertisers use the same tool, their ads converge. Starting from a chosen reference design and your own content, as Grafista's Blueprints do, reduces that effect.
Can AI ad generators handle long text?
Most cannot do it well. Template tools reserve space for a headline and a button, and image models draw text as part of the picture, so long copy is hard to control and every edit needs a new generation. If your ad needs a full offer, a menu or a list of features, use a tool that lays out text as editable type rather than generating it as an image.
